Cuttack, April 17: Gangster Hyder’s remand has been put on hold, police commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi informed.
He was scheduled to be taken for seven days remand by commissionerate police.
The decision was taken after he tested positive for the Covid-19. An antigen test was conducted before his trial and the result came positive.
Following which, the team involved in arrest of the gangster have been asked for isolation.
Worth mentioning, on April 10, the gangster slipped out of SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack leaving the Odisha Government red-faced and was arrested from Telangana about five days after the tireless efforts of the Commissionerate of Police. Hyder was arrested by Telangana police. Hyder was then brought to Odisha amid tight security.
