Gajapati ACF death mystery: Police scout for clues in Balangir

Balangir, July 22: Police searched for clues regarding the death of Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, the former Additional Conservator of Forests (ACF), Paralakhemundi, in Balangir. A team of police took up an investigation at the Live Stock Training Centre, Balangir where Soumya Ranjan’s wife Bidya Bharati had hosted a party for her classmates on April 11. in which as many as 80 of her friends participated. Bidya Bharati traveled from Gajapati to Balangir in a private car. Nobody from her family accompanied her on the occasion. She stayed in the hostel with friends for two days. Subsequently, she was received by her parents on April 13. Gajapati police and the Crime Branch team have prepared a database on every activity of Bidya Bharati there. At the same time, the Crime Branch police is on to track the car and its ownership details. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police, Gajapati has discussed with the Deputy Director of the training institute in this connection.
