Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD will stage demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan here on October 1 protesting against repeated hike in the price of petrol and diesel by the Centre.
Student, youth, women wing activists of the party will participate in stir, informed party general secretary Arun Sahoo in a press conference at the State party headquarters.
Notably, on September 7, 8 and 9, the ruling Biju Janata Dal workers had held awareness campaign in front of all the petrol pumps in the State for two hours between 10 am to 12 noon protesting against the all-time fuel price hike.
During the two-hour protest the party workers held awareness campaign and peaceful agitation in front of all the petrol pumps across the State, besides distributing leaflets in a bid to make people aware about the Union Government’s failure resulting in hike of prices of petrol and diesel.
He demanded immediate measures to curb the price hike.
