Fresh SOP issued for darshan at Puri Jagannath temple, temple to remain open throughout the week

Puri, Feb 10: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration today issued a fresh standard operating procedure (SOP) for darshan of deities. As per the fresh SOP the temple will remain open on all days of the week and public darshan of deities will start latest by 6 AM. It is mandatory for all pilgrims to wear masks at all times, both inside and outside of the temple while devotees need to sanitize their hands before entering into the temple. Besides devotees will be allowed to take Mahaprasad inside Ananda Bazar and temple premises at designated places only. The special arrangements for the residents of Puri for one hour from 6AM to 7 AM has also been discontinued. “ Devotees will enter through Singhadwar. After the darshan, the exit will be allowed through all the Dwaras except Singhadwar (East Gate). Night time sanitization of the temple premises will be conducted three times a week after close of public darshan,” said an official.
