Soro, Nov 29: Four villagers were injured while fighting back a group of armed dacoits in Haridapada village under Soro police limits in Balasore district last night. A group of seven miscreants intercepted Sudam Bauli of the village at gunpoint when he was returning home. He informed the matter to family members over phone following which some villagers rushed for his rescue. The dacoits were attacking Sudam with sharp weapons when the villagers clashed with them. The villagers overpowered one miscreant, identified as Pradyumna Senapati of Marshaghai area in Kendrapara district, while six others managed to flee from the spot. On the other hand, four villagers were injured in the attack.
