Foundation stone laid for three road projects in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, May 13: The foundation stone for three roads in Bhubaneswar was laid on Friday. Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Sulochana Das and Bhubaneswar Central MLA Ananata Narayan Jena laid the foundation stone in presence of local corporators and dignitaries of the localities. Construction work of three roads will be started soon in ward 37 and 39. The projects under ward no. 39 involve two internal roads under project infra. In the projects there will be development of road at Nuasahi lane 2 and lane 9 and it will be paver block road. Another project of the ward is development of road at Balitotasahi and it will be a BT (black top) road. Renovation cost of these two internal roads is about Rs 33.5 lakhs. In ward no. 37 an important road project will be started soon having different facilities with smart look. The project involves BT road, paver foot path, drain and other road accessories like foot path, road furniture, lighting and dedicated parking place. The project is under SURE (specification for) scheme. This will be a city level attraction besides smart road. The road starts from World traffic Tower to NH-16 via R. K club. It is estimated to be completed in seven months. Proposed road length is about 2000 meter. Estimated cost of the project is about 4. 5 crores. “ Any construction and development work is complete and useful with active citizen involvement. This is the high time where citizens of each locality of Bhubaneswar should come forward to co-operate govt. initiatives,” told Mayor Das. She also thanked the local citizens who have come forward to join hands for completion of the projects in the locality.
