<strong>Former Sarpanch’s family attacked over political rivalry, 8 hospitalized in Cuttack</strong>

Cuttack: May 8: A group of miscreants have attacked the family members of a former Sarpanch of Banki area on Sunday over political rivalry. Eight members including the former Sarpanch have been hospitalized due to the attack. Sources said that, a handful of miscreants threatened the former Sarpanch again and again over previous political rivalry. Getting no way out,he lodged a complaint with the Banki police on Saturday. Aggrieved on it, the miscreants barged into his house today and assaulted his family members. As a result, the members of his family sustained critical injuries. Being informed, the police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. However, no one has been apprehended in this connection so far.
