Cuttack, Aug 11: Amaresh Kumar Jaiswal, IFS (Retd.), former Conservator of Forests at the office of the PCCF, Aranya Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, has been convicted in a disproportionate assets (DA) case filed by Odisha Vigilance.
The Special Judge, Vigilance Court, Cuttack, on Monday sentenced Jaiswal to two years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹50,000 under Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Following the conviction, Odisha Vigilance will initiate proceedings with the competent authority to stop his pension benefits.
