Former Indian cricketer from Odisha Debashish Mohanty named as national selector

Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: Former International cricketer from Odisha, Debashish Mohanty has been named as the new members of senior selection committee on Thursday. Mohanty along with Chetan Sharma and Abey Kuruvilla will join join Harvinder Singh and Sunil Joshi as selectors. Mohanty born on July 20, 1976 in Bhubaneswar had played in 2 Tests and 45 ODIs from 1997 to 2001. He was a right-arm medium-fast bowler who coupled pace to his naturally lanky frame. He found success in the limited overs format, averaging under 30 and taking over 1 wicket per game. Mohanty also represented India in the 1999 World Cup.
