Bhubaneswar, August 12: In a significant initiative to promote Odisha’s diverse rural products, traditional craftsmanship and entrepreneurial potential at the national and international level, the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) is participating in the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav (BVM) 2026 in New Delhi for the first time.
The four-day Mahotsav is being held from August 12 to 15 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Earlier, ORMAS had also established a Pop-up Store at DLF Avenue, Saket, New Delhi. Through these initiatives, ORMAS is providing Odisha’s rural producer groups, artisans, weavers and entrepreneurs with greater visibility and access to national and international markets, while expanding market opportunities for their products.
The ORMAS Pavilion was formally inaugurated by ORMAS CEO Dr. Monica Priyadarshini. The Additional CEO (Finance), ORMAS, and other officials of ORMAS were also present on the occasion.
At the ORMAS Pavilion, a diverse range of products representing all 30 districts of Odisha is being showcased. The collection includes handicrafts, handlooms, home décor products, accessories, spices and other food products, reflecting the State’s rich cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship and the creativity of its rural entrepreneurs.
ORMAS’s participation in the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav is focused on creating B2B business opportunities, strengthening market linkages, facilitating export opportunities and promoting Odisha’s rural products among national and international buyers, traders, exporters and other business stakeholders.
The ORMAS Pavilion offers visitors and business stakeholders an opportunity to discover Odisha’s distinctive rural products while creating greater visibility, new markets and business opportunities for the State’s rural producers.
Business delegates can visit the exhibition from 10 AM to 7 PM, while general visitors can access it from 3 PM to 7 PM.
ORMAS’s first-time participation in the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav is an important step towards expanding market opportunities for Odisha’s rural producers.
