Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Badal resigns over Centre’s new farm bills

New Delhi, Sep 17: Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday quit the Modi government opposing the farm bills likely to be passed in the two Houses of Parliament.
She submitted her resignation as Union Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The only Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) representative in the Modi government Harsimrat Badal has submitted her resignation as Union Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The move came shortly after SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal’s announcement in the Lok Sabha that the minister will quit protesting the Centre’s anti-farmer move.
