Flight makes emergency landing at Bhubaneswar for medical reason, passenger dies

Bhubaneswar, Sep 30: An Indigo flight which was on its way to Hyderabad from Kolkata made an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar after a passenger complained of breathing problem. However, the passenger was received dead at Capital Hospital. Airport authorities said that the passenger identified as Jayabrata Ghosh (80) was travelling with four of his family members when he complained of breathing problem. “A doctor attended the passenger in flight and declared cardiac arrest. The doctor also suggested shifting him immediately to nearest hospital for further medical help,” said an official. As a result of which, the flight made an emergency landing this evening and the passenger was shifted immediately to Capital Hospital by AAI ambulance. Ghosh, however, was declared dead at the hospital.
