G. Udayagiri, Mar 27: In another accident at Kalinga Ghat in G. Udayagiri, as many five persons sustained critical injuries after a pickup van fell into a gorge on Saturday.

 As per preliminary information, the driver lost control of the van and the vehicle fell into the gorge.

Soon the local residents rescued the victims and rushed them to a nearby government-run hospital. Later, the victims were shifted to MKCG Hospital in Berhampur as their condition worsened.

On being informed, the local police reached the spot and seized the ill-fated van.
