First Bhubaneswar-Surat direct flight takes off

Bhubaneswar, Jan 20: An Air India Flight left the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) for Surat city in Gujarat on Monday morning commencing direct flight service between the two cities. The Air India flight A320 left the BPIA at 8.40 am with 81 passengers on board, informed an airport official. The direct flight service between Bhubaneswar and Surat will be operated twice a week, said BPIA director Baruda Venkateswara Rao. The flight will leave Bhubaneswar at 8.40 am on Monday and Thursday and reach Surat at 10.40 am. Similarly, the flight will leave Surat at 8.40 am on Friday and Sunday and reach Bhubaneswar at 10.40 am, he added.
