Bhubaneswar, May 16: The Fire Park of Odisha Fire and Disaster Response Academy (OFDRA) will reopen from May 21. Odisha Fire Services DG Santosh Kumar Upadhyay today visited the park and reviewed the preparedness for the opening of the park. The park started functioning from January, 2021 with a view to educate and create fire safety awareness among the general public and student community in particular. However, the park remained closed since May 2021 in view of Covid-19 pandemic. Upadhyay emphasized for public awareness and use of fire balls and modern fire fighting equipment in high-rise building as well as commercial buildings. As many as 10 events with special team of Odisha Fire Service have been deployed in park to sensitize and create public awareness on fire safety measures and disaster Mitigation. After completion of visit the visitors will issued with flyer and pamphlets on fire safety awareness and feedback of the visitors will been taken in the feedback register.
