Bhubaneswar, May 16: In view of recent fire incidents in different Covid Hospitals in the country, Odisha Fire Service has deployed 384 fire ersonnel round the clock in 62 dedicated Covid Hospitals of Odisha to prevent any fire accident. Besides, fire tenders have been deployed in some Covid Hospitals to undertake firefighting operation immediately, if required. Director General of Police, Fire Services, M.Akhaya, along with other senior officers of Fire Service organization today visited 6 dedicated Covid Hospitals of Berhampur including Tata Covid Hospital and MKCG dedicated Covid Hospital. During the visit, DGP, Fire Services reviewed fire safety measures as well as readiness of deployed Fire Service Personnel in these hospitals along with equipment/rescue gears to meet any fire emergency effectively. Besides, Asheet Panigrahi, Inspector General of Police, Fire Service also visited Tata Covid Hospital at Jajpur District to review the firefighting & rescue arrangement there.
