Cuttack, Juky 12: A fire broke out today at the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Conference Hall, causing significant damage to several items within the premises. The fire, which reportedly started around 2:15 PM, led to the destruction of various equipment and furnishings.
Upon noticing smoke emanating from the Conference Hall, OCA staff immediately informed the fire department. A team from the Buxi Bazar fire station quickly responded and took prompt action to control the flames. Within a short period, the fire was successfully contained and extinguished.
Preliminary investigations by the Fire Department suggest that the cause of the fire might be related to an electrical short circuit. The fire resulted in extensive damage to several items in the Conference Hall, though no casualties have been reported.
