Burla, Sept 2: A final-year student of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla has been found dead under mysterious circumstances.

The body of Anjaneya Das, a mechanical engineering student, was discovered early Tuesday morning under the Power Canal (PC) Bridge, located near the university campus. According to reports, Das, who was from Jajpur district, had left his hostel, Pulastiya, around 2 a.m. but failed to return.

Shockingly, Das was found with multiple injuries on his body, prompting immediate action by authorities. He was rushed to Burla Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Upon receiving the news, police swiftly reached the scene and began an investigation into the incident. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, with his family expressing suspicions of foul play and alleging that he may have been murdered.
