Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Dec 5: In a hysterical victory in the Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup organized at Odisha’s Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Argentina has been titled the World Champion, beating Germany on Sunday evening. Argentina beat Germany by 4-2 goals to lift up FIH Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2021 trophy. Argentina emerged as the World Champions of the FIH Odisha Men's Junior Hockey World Cup by triggering a stunning 4-2 victory over six-time champions and title favourite Germany in a neck-to-neck fight at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. Argentina moved in the first round against the Germans team with a penalty corner within 10 minutes of the struggle. Striker Lautaro Domene struck a howitzer from the left corner of the post to open the account and ventured to put Germans on the duck. Argentina’s Neuen Hernando deflected it away from the post which was a certain scoring opportunity. In a bid to come at par, the German team was relentless in their attack in the fourth and last quarter. Subsequently, they got four successive penalty corners in the 46th minute and in the last chance, Masi Pfandt grabbed the opportunity to find one. However, Argentina retaliated more violently having rewarded with a penalty corner. Domene was again on target to move on for a lead with 3-2. Meanwhile, Franco Agostini scored the fourth goal and deserved the Gold for the South American sovereign.
