Father-son duo injured due to attack by in-laws; admitted in the hospital

Patana, 19/11: Usually the relationship between the in-laws of a husband and wife is cordial, But a father-son due were attacked by the latter’s in-laws in Patana area of Keonjhar district. Both of them were admitted in the district headquarter hospital. {"id":20648,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to reports, Dillip Mahanta, son of Laxmidhar Mahanta of Harichandanpur village under Turumanga police station in Patana area had married to the daughter of Paresh Mahanta of Khuntapingu village. It was a love marriage. But there was a quarrel between the couple for some reason. Infuriated over this, Dilip’s in laws beat him up. As Dilip’ father Laxmidhar resisted, he was attacked by an axe and got seriously injured. He was rushed to Keonjhar district headquarter hospital in critical condition. Dilip was also injured and hospitalized. Police has started investigation after a complaint was lodged in Turumanga police station to this effect. The three accused have absconded.
