Farmer commits suicide due to crop loss

Bhubaneswar: A farmer allegedly committed suicide due to crop loss at Ulunda village under Mahulapali police limits in Sambalpur district today.
The deceased was identified as Bimala Kishan.
According to sources, Kishan consumed poison yesterday and was taken to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla. He died while undergoing treatment there.
However, he was in severe mental distress after the standing crops were damaged, sources said.
