Family members seek compensation, body rots in IGH mortuary

Rourkela, Feb 22: Dissatisfied over compensation against death of Raisan Marandi, family members have left out the body in the mortuary of IGH since last 11 days. Sources said, Raisan Marandi who used to be engaged in the new plate mill inside Rourkela Steel Plant sustained critical injury at his work place on February 11. He was admitted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela on medical exigencies. However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Family members of the deceased demanded an ex-gratia with employment of one of his dependants, but in-vain.
