Cuttack, May 2: In yet another crackdown on adulterated product manufacturing, a fake detergent powder unit was busted on Friday in Andei Sahi under the Jagatpur Industrial Estate.
The illegal factory was unearthed during a joint raid conducted by the Cuttack Special Squad and Jagatpur Police. Officials seized a large quantity of counterfeit detergent powder, along with machines, raw materials, and branded label stickers used in the operation.
Police have sealed the unit and confirmed that the raid is still underway. Preliminary investigation reveals that the detergent was being produced using adulterated substances and marketed under the names of reputed brands.
