Keonjhar, Feb 13: Election Officer & Sub-Collector, Anandpur has issued summon to a BJP supported Zilla Parishad candidate in connection with his fake affidavit. At the same time, the Election Officer has lodged a complaint against Bibekananda Rout, an aspirant for Zilla Parishad Zone No.34. Sources said, Rout had filed an affidavit with the Election Officer in view of the Zilla Parishad election, where he declared that he has not been convicted in any criminal cases. However, the opponent BJD candidate, Somanath Das lodged a complaint with the Sub-Collector pleading that Rout had been convicted in a criminal case registered in 2007. Following this, the Election Officer ordered a probe into the matter. Meanwhile, the allegation was found factual in every respect. Acting on it, the District Election Office issued a notice to Rout and lodged a complaint against him. On the other hand, he has also been called for by police on the same matter.
