Face-off over land dispute in Balasore, 10 injured

Balasore, July 18: At least 10 persons were injured after the members of two families attacked each other in Odisha's Balasore district on Saturday night. The incident occurred in Debhoga village under Singala police limits. Sources said, there was previous enmity between Seikh Jafiruddin and Seikh Moti’s family over a government land. Meanwhile, the demarcation process was going on yesterday. However, an oral spat turned violent amid the measurement and both the families along with their supporters faced off on the spot. As a result, at least ten persons from both sides got injured. Out of them, six became severely injured and were rushed to Balasore district headquarters hospital. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and maintained peace in the locality.
