Bhubaneswar: Even as the first phase polling started in four Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha at 7:00 a.m. this morning, it has been reported that voters have become unhappy at some booths due to non functioning of EVMs.
According to reports three EVMs at Malkangiri, one at Bijiput in Brahmapur city, Booth No. 150 at Jeypore, Booth No.77 at Lamataput in Koraput, Booth No.176 at Bissamcuttack, two booths at Chitrakonda, at MV 37 village in Malkangiri district and some booths in Kalimela area have been found defunct.
At all these polling stations, voters have been standing in queues since 7 am. Voting would start once new EVMs are brought and put to use.
