EOW nabs two for duping job aspirants

Bhubaneswar, Nov 12: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) has arrested two persons for allegedly cheating 38 people on the pretext of providing jobs in the Odisha police service. The accused have been identified as Baikunthanath Naik and Bhimsen Moharana. Sources said Baikuntha Naik, impersonated as Assistant Section Officer, Home Department, and Bhimsen Moharana, impersonated as high official of Home Department cheated the aspirants on the pretext of enlisting their names in the supplementary selection list of Combined Police Service Examination-2013. The accused allegedly took Rs 1.47 crore from the job aspirants. During the search, many incriminating documents including 12 ATM cards as well the fake ID card of ASO were seized. All bank accounts have been frozen.
