Eminent writer Indubhushan Kar passes away

Bhubaneswar, Aug 7: Eminent writer Indubhushan Kar passed away in Bhubaneswar on Friday. He was undergoing treatment in a hospital after being affected in Covid-19. He was 87. He was born on March 12, 1935 in Chandipur village under Bhograi block of Balasore district to Yogendranath Kar and Nirbala Kar. He was a classmate of internationally renowned narrator Manoj Das. He completed his bachelor's degree in political science from Allahabad University in 1959. He joined the administration on June 1, 1970. His first book ‘Nisang Akash’ was published in 1991. He translated Sitakant Mohapatra's "Shabdar Akashku" into Bengali, Shakti Chattapadhyay's "Jaipare kahinki jibi", Narendranath Chakraborty's "Ulang Raja" in Odia.
