Eminent doctor Kishore Chandra Sahoo dies of Covid-19

Cuttack, May 22: An eminent medicine specialist and retired Director of Health Services, Dr. Kishore Chandra Sahoo passed away on Thursday afternoon in Covid at Ashwani Hospital in Cuttack. The 85-year-old doctor was infected with coronavirus despite taking two vaccine shots and was under treatment for 10 days. An alumnus of SCB Medical College, Sahoo joined in Capital Hospital as the first medicine specialist and retired as Director of Health Services in 1994. Sahoo had vast experience in Health and Hospital Management, Material Management, Operation Research, Food Quality Control and Communication Skills for Managerial Effectiveness. He was also the personal doctor of former Chief Minister, Biju Patnaik. He had received several awards during his distinguished career.
