Bhubaneswar: Fear has gripped villagers of Jamunalia and Kholapa villages in Keonjhar district as a herd of elephants created havoc in the area last night.
According to reports, a herd of 22 elephants, including cubs, entered Kholapa village last night and destroyed paddy plants on acres of land.
The jumbos are still moving in the area, creating a fear among locals.
Though villagers have informed forest officials about the entry of pachyderms, the latter were yet to reach the village and drive away the animals.
