Cuttack, Oct 27: An elephant has trampled a man to death at Patasailo village under Katikata gram panchayat in Cuttack district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagabat Behera.

Sources said, Bhagabat was cutting grass at his farmland, nearby the village. Meanwhile, a lone elephant crushed him all of sudden. As a result, he sustained critical injuries and died on spot.

Being alerted by his alarm,locals rushed to the spot.However, he was recovered from the spot dead.
