<strong>Elephant kills buffalo, tramples man in Dhenkanal &nbsp;</strong>

Dhenkanal, June 27: A man has been critical in Dhenkanal after an elephant trampled him on Monday. The enraged elephant has also killed a buffalo after flattening the man in the Borapada forest in the evening. The deceased has been identified as Sarat Khilar, a native of Gahamakhunti village. Sources said that Sarat was managing buffaloes in the Borapada-Khamar forest under the Dhenkanal Sadar forest range in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a lone elephant attacked him all of a sudden. The pachyderm threw him up and stepped on him on the spot. Subsequently, it killed a buffalo under its feet. Being informed from the alarm, locals rescued the man from the spot and admitted into the district headquarters hospital for resuscitation.
