New Delhi, June 22: Eight political parties including Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress today joined a meeting at veteran politician Sharad Pawar’s house. Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha had asked Sharad Pawar to host the meeting. However, those joined the event refuted the political speculation that the parties have gathered to join hands for a Third Front effort. National Conference leaders, leaders of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), RLD, Samawadi Party and left leaders were present in the meeting. It was a gathering to debate current events and was organised by Yashwant Sinha’s outfit Rashtra Manch, said a source.
