Bhubaneswar, Feb 14: Eight hundred pairs will tie the nuptial knot on the occasion of Valentine’s Day today. As per the licensing authority of the Commissionerate Police, more than 300 couples have registered in the licensing cell of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) office seeking permission for loud speaker, crackers and procession for their marriage ceremony. Apart from it, a good numbers of marriage ceremonies are going to be arranged in the heart of the city according to the Hindu tradition following the dates and auspicious time following the Hindu almanac. More than five hundred such functions are going to be organised on the outskirts of the city without seeking permission from the competent authorities. More spectacularly, some parents have preferred to get their children married in various mutts, temples and charitable organisations simply fearing the corona threat. On the other hand, the capital city has worn a festive look with light, gates and massive tentage.
