Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths on Friday conducted a raid at the residence of former Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik in Bhubaneswar.

The raid was underway at the Congress leader’s residence in Nayapalli area of the city till filing of the report.

A team of ED sleuths arrived at Patnaik’s residence early in the morning and conducted searches. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were deployed outside the residence during the raid to ensure security.

However, the reason behind the raid is yet to be ascertained. The Congress leader has not commented on the matter so far.
