ED raids at 18 places against Jharkhand mining secretary

Ranchi, May 6: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday conducted raids at multiple locations simultaneously including premises of Jharkhand Mines and Geology Department Secretary, Pooja Singhal in connection with a money laundering case. The ED conducted searches at about 18 premises in Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and a few other states in connection with Singhal’s involvement in the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) Scheme in Khunti and Chatra districts. Her involvement in illegal sand mining at Pachadumar is also being investigated.
