Bhubaneswar, May 3: The National Women's Business Mela 2.0, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce's National Women's Entrepreneurship Council (INWEC) showcased over 250 stalls featuring innovative products and services by women entrepreneurs.
Among the exhibitors was Eco Boon, a startup offering eco-friendly period panties. Their innovative product aims to provide comfort and sustainability during menstruation, addressing a significant need in women's health. Eco Boon’s participation highlighted the diverse range of businesses led by women, from traditional crafts to modern solutions
The Mela also featured a variety of attractions, including a food festival with over 34 unique stalls, a kids' play area, selfie zones, activity zones, an Ollywood night, a fashion show, and cultural and musical performances. These activities created an engaging environment for families and visitors of all ages
In line with the state's commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs, Chief Minister Majhi announced plans to establish an exclusive industrial park for women and a special cell within the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha (IPICOL).
These initiatives aim to provide tailored resources and infrastructure to foster women-led businesses across the state.
The INWEC National Women's Business Mela 2.0 not only showcased the entrepreneurial talents of women in Odisha but also reinforced the state's dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women in business.
