East Coast Railway observes International Level Crossing Awareness day

Bhubaneswar, June 11: The East Coast Railway has observed International Level Crossing Awareness Day on June 10. In a special occasion organized at the Rail Sadan, the Additional General Manager Sudhir Kumar unveiled the wall magazine on the redefined safety and security measures adopted at the railways level crossings. Apart from it, a meeting on the safety and security at level crossing was convened in the office. Chief Security Officer Hemant Kumar Dutt, Chief Public Relation Officer Kousalendra Kishore Khadanga and Senior Public Relation Officer Nirakar Sahu shared their views over here. Similarly, in another occasion, Khordha Railways Division celebrated International Level Crossing Awareness Day and took up mass awareness programmes among the villagers on safety and security at the level crossings. Divisional Safety Officer Ganesh Chandra Nayak, Chief Safety Officer (Electrical) SC Nayak along with other safety officials explained the villagers living by the level crossing regarding safety principles essential while passing level crossings.
