Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), June 1: An earthquake of magnitude 2.7 on the Richter Scale struck Uttar Pradesh's Meerut today morning. This was confirmed by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
According to the NCS, the earthquake tremors were felt at 08:44 AM IST on Sunday. The epicenter was located at a depth of five kilometers below the surface, with coordinates at latitude 28.87°N and longitude 77.96°E.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the earthquake.
