Bhubaneswar, April 10: Sprint queen Dutee Chand is going to get Chhattisgarh Virni Award for 2020-21. Chhattisgarh government has formally declared it through a press release. As per the release, Chhattisgarh Birni Award is accorded to the best Indian women who excels in sports and other fields. Accordingly, Dutee Chand has been selected to be awarded with this respectful award this year. She will be conferred with the award virtually on April 14. In response, Dutee tweeted to her fans and well wishers about her feeling today. Dutee has proved her excellence achieving national record by covering 100 meter track in 11.22 seconds. She also bagged gold medal in University Games, 2019 becoming a token of pride for Odisha.
