Dusmant Das death row: Two journalists grilled by Cuttack police

Cuttack, Sep 15: Cuttack police grilled two journalists on Wednesday, in connection with the suspicious death of Dusmant Das, who allegedly committed suicide before the Odisha Assembly. Mangalabag police has quizzed journalists, Asit Rout and Diptimaya in the afternoon. Particulary, police questioned them regarding Dusmant’s poisoning and wanted to dig out, who persuaded him to undertake self- immolation before the State Assembly. Earlier, on Tuesday, police had summoned the journalists and asked to appear the police station today. According to police, the duo were in frequent touch with Dusmant before he attempted suicide in front of the State Assembly on September 7. Worth mentioning, Dusmant staged a protest before the Odisha Assembly, cutting his hand and later on, died in SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
