Tigiria, May 18: In a shocking incident in Koradapalli village under Tigiria police limits, a drunken man threatened to harm his wife and children by locking them inside his house and pouring kerosene, according to reports.

The woman’s brother, upon learning about the threat, immediately informed the Tigiria police.

Acting quickly, police personnel along with the fire brigade rushed to the scene, broke the locks, and safely rescued the woman and her children. Officials noted that it took considerable effort and time to carry out the rescue.

Following the incident, the woman’s brother filed a formal complaint at the Tigiria police station. The intoxicated man has been taken into police custody, and an investigation into the case is underway.

Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report such incidents immediately to prevent potential tragedies.
