Drugs-on-cruise case: NCB submits WhatsApp chats of Aryan in court

Mumbai, Oct 20: Aryan Khan, who was arrested and lodged in Arthur Road jail in Mumbai in connection with a drugs case, had discussed the drugs with a debutant actress during the Mumbai cruise party, NCB said. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has submitted the WhatsApp chats of the discussion in the court, ahead of Aryan’s bail plea hearing. Aryan and the actress were apparently discussing drugs during the Mumbai cruise party on October 2. Moreover, Aryan Khan’s chats with some drug peddlers have also been submitted in court. During a hearing on October 14, the court of Judge VV Patil reserved its order on Aryan Khan's bail plea. The court scheduled the pronouncement of the order on October 20 due to Dussehra festival and the weekend. Aryan Khan, 23, was arrested by the NCB along with several others during the central agency's raid at a rave party on Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 3. On October 7, Aryan Khan was sent to 14-day judicial custody. He is currently lodged at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. NCB sleuths said they seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash during the raid. However, no drugs were found on Aryan Khan, as per an NCB official. Seven others were arrested with Aryan Khan, namely Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Merchant, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Satija, and Vikrant Chhokar. A total of twenty people have been arrested in the case, including foreign nationals and alleged drug peddlers.
