<strong>Drug-and- loot in Dhenkanal: Bizman, brother critical</strong>

Dhenkanal, June 26: A bizman and his brother have been looted in Dhenkanal on Sunday  after they were served drug with cold drink. The incident took place at the Alasua weekly market in the afternoon. The victims are Prasant Mohakhud and his younger brother Susant, natives of Bedapada village under the Rasol police limit. Sourced said that the duo were selling mixtures and other eatables in the Alasua market in the afternoon. Meanwhile, two miscreants came to the mixture stall and made a deal to wholesale mixtures and other products from them. As the intimacy went deeper,the miscreants offered them spiced cold drink. However, they had added sedative drugs in the beverage following which the two brothers went unconscious. In the meantime, they decamped with the cash bag from the stall. Being aware of it, neighbouring vendors rescued them from the spot and carried them to the Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital.Later they were rushed to the SCB Medical College and hospital as their health conditions deteriorated. Dhenkanal police, being informed from the locals visited the spot and initiated an investigation. However, no clue regarding the looters is sourced so far.
