Bhubaneswar, August 14: A grand literary and cultural celebration unfolded at Bhanja Kala Mandap on Wednesday with the launch of “Saaita Sata”, the latest book by Nayagarh MLA Dr. Arun Sahoo, along with his newly composed song “Behal Barsaa”. The event brought together an impressive gathering of dignitaries from the worlds of politics, literature, and the arts.

The launch ceremony was attended by prominent leaders including senior politicians Debi Prasad Mishra, Sanjay Das Burma, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, former minister Manoranjan Panigrahi, and MLAs Sushant Raut, Debi Ranjan Tripathy, Umakanta Samantaray, and Byomakesh Ray.
Celebrated writer Abhiram Biswal and renowned artist Chaudhury Bikash Das graced the occasion as chief guests. Both offered thoughtful reflections on “Saaita Sata”, commending the book for its literary depth and social relevance.
In his address, Dr. Sahoo emphasized the enduring power of truth in shaping a just society. “Many truths are buried by time,” he said. “But when both the speaker and the listener approach truth with the right mindset—especially the listener—truth can emerge freely.” He also spoke candidly about the resistance truth often faces from those in positions of power and urged for a societal mindset that values honest expression.
