Bhubaneswar: BJP Dhamnagar MLA Bishnu Sethi and Keonjhar Sadar MLA Mohan Charan Majhi were appointed as the Deputy Leader of Opposition and Opposition Chief Whip in the State Assembly.
This was informed by party spokesperson Golak Mohapatra.
Recently, BJP national president Amit Shah named Bhawanipatna MLA Pradipta Kumar Naik as the leader of BJP legislature party, paving the way for him to become the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly.
BJP has won 23 Assembly seats members in 147-member House in the recently held elections thereby becoming the main opposition in the State. While BJD grabbed 111 seats, Congress managed to win in nine seats.
