Development projects in Kotia will continue, says Koraput Collector

Koraput, May 20: Development works in Kotia areas of Odisha’s Koraput district will continue despite interruption of the Andhra Pradesh officials, said Koraput district Collector on Friday.
Speaking to the media personnel on the matter of stoppage of pipeline works in the Nereidbalsa village on Thursday by a handful Andhra sponsored officials, Collector Abdaal M Akhtar said that the Odisha government has undertaken a plethora of welfare works in and around the Kotia group of villages. However, the Andhra officials are creating disturbances in executing the community development projects in the villages.
Citing the yesterday’s incident Akhtar said, laying pipelines under the aegis of Basudha Yojana was postponed after the intervention of a few Andhra official, which will be resumed soon so as to supply pure drinking water to the villagers.
