
Bhubaneswar, September 27: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported on Saturday that the depression currently over south coastal Odisha, near the Andhra Pradesh border, is expected to shift westward and gradually weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area within the next 24 hours.
According to the IMD, the depression moved westward at a speed of 15 km/h over the six hours up to 8:30 AM on Saturday, and it was centered over the southern interior of Odisha at that time.
The department further stated, "The system is likely to continue its westward movement across southern Odisha and Chhattisgarh, gradually weakening into a well-marked low-pressure area within the next 24 hours."
