Deadline set for Subhadra Yojana applications in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: The Odisha government has announced a deadline for women to apply for financial assistance under its flagship welfare program, the Subhadra Yojana. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed on Tuesday that the last date for beneficiaries to submit their applications for the first installment of financial aid is March 7, 2025. This deadline aligns with the release of the second installment of assistance, which will be distributed on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025. To date, over 80 lakh women have benefited from the Subhadra Yojana, which aims to provide financial support to women across the state. Worth mentioning, in the first three phases of the first installment, a total of 25 lakh women received their payments on September 17, while another 39 lakh benefited from the second phase on October 9 and 20 lak beneficiaries from the third phase on November 24. With the goal of covering 1 crore beneficiaries by December, the Odisha Government is working towards further expanding the reach of this significant initiative, aimed at improving the socio-economic status of women in the state. The Subhadra Yojana, a flagship initiative by the Odisha Government, aims to empower women by providing them with financial support. As part of the scheme, women are being credited Rs 5000 directly into their bank accounts.
