Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: On the occasion of Children's Day, DAV Public School Pokhariput on Sunday felicitated 145 students comprising toppers, perfect scorers, all-rounders, NTSE and KVPY national qualifiers in AISSE, AISSCE-2021 and 19-20, best debater, promising children and new budding writers at a special celebration `Kritansh’. While chief guest Dr Arun Kumar Rath inaugurated the event and spoke on competitiveness and self-reliance that could play key roles for students’ explorations and accomplishments, Principal and Assistant Regional Officer of DAV Zone 1, Odisha, Dr Sujata Sahu and SchooI Manager Dr Bhagyabati Nayak felicitated the students on the occasion. Dance numbers and a melodious rendition by the teachers lent a unique grace to the programme and made it a memorable one. Class VIII student Ananya Priyadarshini was also awarded for her literary achievements during the recent past and notably, for becoming an author in the prestigious Scholastics India anthology this year, with 20 kids from across India. Ananya got her story published in the Scholastic India's "Infinite Possibilities -- Say Twenty Young Writers" an anthology of stories by young authors of India from different schools under the Scholastic Quill Club Writers. Earlier, her story and a poem were published by Bengaluru-based start-up, "The Right Order", early this year.
